History

Hello, Welcome to my NEW and UPDATED website documenting the construction and playing-with of my MAME cabinet.  I'm not going to place a long-winded explanation of what exactly MAME is just here, because I reckon you know already.

The idea suddenly occurred to me one day to build this thing.  I had been playing games MAME on my PC for a while, but somehow, using a keyboard or a joypad just didn't feel right.  I thought I could get higher scores if the games were in an upright arcade cabinet and I was using proper joysticks.  At this point, I honestly thought I was the only person to ever think of building such a thing.  I spent a while planning out most of the design for this monster, then I started buying bits for it.  I was committed.

When I got out of the loony bin, I bought some 12mm MDF to build the cabinet and I started cutting.
