29th June

More shots from the 'Mediterranean zone'.  The dead tree has been put into position and more gravel has been added.  The end of the outbuildings has been painted with sandtex brilliant white, and looks beautiful.

The window in the back wall has also been given a new lease of life and painted bright yellow.

The Agavi had to be moved back a bit, it was too close to the rock in the foreground and from certain angles, it disappeared.

Most of these photos (all but the last two on this page) were taken with long exposure because it's night time, this is the reason you can't see any water running down the water feature.  I assure you it's there.

A shot showing the wonderful shadows cast on the fence at the back.

The first of two shots taken with flash.  You can see the water now.

We've also planted some grasses just outside the boundary of the Med zone, to soften the contrast between different areas of the garden.

Just for comparison, here's a shot of the same area undeveloped; and from the same angle......

A shot how it looks now.  It still isn't finished yet.  We have yet to attach the wrought iron bars to the window, fit a window box and put some pretty plants in it, and plant more grasses and something big behind the fallen tree.
