This is the first photo taken of the shambles. Some clearing up had already been done when I decided to start taking photos, so you aren't actually seeing it at its worst. There's an Anderson air raid shelter (shed) and a summer house under all that foliage somewhere. Also, in front of the shed, there's what used to be a pond. This had stagnated and gone black. We punched holes in it, drained it and dumped rubbish in it from out of the shed and summer house, then started to bury it.
Inside the shed. This is pretty much as we found it. We are hoarders. We can't throw things away, we put it to one side just in case we need it. Trouble is, we ran out of "one sides" a long time previous.
This is inside the summer house. Actually, this is quite clear. A lot of junk had been shifted at this point and you could actually get in there. We found a dead cat in here, just inside the doorway. He hadn't got stuck in the junk and died there. He had chosen this spot as his final resting place. Fortunately, he hadn't been there long when we discovered him. It could have been a lot worse.
Some of the crap stored in the summer house. In case we need it!
The entrance to the garden buildings.
A view of the top of the garden, looking from near the house.
The pond-hole. Full of rubbish. Almost ready to be filled in and stomped down.
There should be a law against neglecting gardens. It's a fair cop!
